BYD seal launch in India: BYD India has finally launched its most awaited electric sedan BYD Seal in India. The design of BYD seal is based on the Ocean aesthetic concept. 5.7m turning radius featuring electric sedan will be available in 3 variants paired with 2 battery options in India, equipped with multiple advanced features in the segment.
BYD Seal India Interior
The BYD Seal interior design features a luxurious cabin featuring Thaumas black color theme with bolstered sporty seats. In continuation of the ocean aesthetic theme, the interior equipped with BYD Advanced Intelligent cockpit offers a rotating 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system at the center of the dashboard, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster for essential information and a heads-up display to provide critical data without any distraction.
To enhance the comfort and convenience, BYD Seal offers Advanced Windshield heads up display, Automatic Rain sensing wipers and the touchscreen is surrounded by electrically adjustable AC vents. Also the basic controls for functions like heated windscreen and audio volume are kept easily accessible. The BYD Seal interior is equipped with two wireless charging pads to ensure your device stays powered.

BYD Seal Exterior
The BYD Seal exterior design, inspired by the BYD’s “ocean aesthetics” design language, combines style and functionality. The key features of BYD Seal exterior include a silver plated panoramic glass roof with UV resistant double glazing, Electric hidden flush door handles, Double-U Floating LED Headlight designed to striking aesthetic and enhanced visibility, Glistening “Ripple” Lamp based on the ripple of the ocean wave and full width LED tail light and sporty light diffuser at the rear.
BYD Seal India also features dark and light combined 19” Precision Blade Alloy Wheel and ocean inspired Water Drop based side mirror for more visibility. The BYD seal will be available in 4 attractive color options in India, which are truly inspired and connected with the ocean: Arctic Blue, Aurora White, Atlantic Grey and Cosmos Black.
BYD Seal Features and Specifications
The BYD Seal will be equipped with BYD Blade battery and upgraded e-Platform 3.0 Cell to Body Technology which will be available in three distinctive variants, offering impressive performance with 2 battery pack options:
1) Dynamic: The dynamic variant comes with a 61.44 kWh battery option (RW Drivetrain) paired with a single motor on the rear axle, which produces power of 204 hp and 310 Nm of maximum torque. As per BYD, this variant’s claim a range of approximately 510 km (as per NEDC cycle). This electric sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds.
2) Premium: The second top variant of BYD Seal comes with a larger 82.56 kWh battery option (RW Drivetrain) paired with a single motor on the rear axle, which produces power of 230 hp and 360 Nm of maximum torque. As per BYD, this variant’s claim a range of approximately 650 km (as per NEDC cycle). This electric sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds.
3) Performance: The top specs variant of BYD Seal comes with a larger 82.56 kWh battery option configures both the Rear Wheel and All Wheel Drivetrain (RWD and AWD), paired with a Dual motor on both front and rear axle, which produces power of 590hp and 670 Nm of maximum torque. As per BYD, this variant’s claim a range of approximately 580 km (as per NEDC cycle). This electric sedan can cruise from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds.
The BYD Seal EV can be charged from 30% to 80% in 26 minutes using a 150 kW DC fast charger. BYD claims to achieve a 200 km driving range in charge of just 15 minutes. Also the BYD Seal can achieve the NEDC Combined energy consumption as low as 13.8kWh/100km.
BYD Seal Safety Features
BYD Seal India is the first BYD model which is powered by exclusive i-TAC Technology, which can adjust the driving torque of front and rear axles dynamically to provide the better driving experience in any road condition. Along with the elegance styling and design, BYD seal is equipped with multiple upgraded safety features such as 9 Airbags, BYD Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Door Open Warning (DOW), Lane departure warning (LDW) and Lane Departure Prevention (LDP) and Rear Cross Traffic Brake (RCTB).

This electric sedan comes with advanced features in line such as a 15.6-inch rotatable touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch all-digital instrument cluster, surrounded by 12-speaker sound system, heads-up display, powered boot opening, 19-inch dual-tone wheels, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging pads, a 360-degree camera, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The vehicle also offers four driving modes: Eco, Normal, Sport, and Snow.
BYD Seal Price in India
The premium segment electric sedan BYD Seal price in India is starting from Rs 41 Lakhs (ex-showroom) for Dynamic variant to Rs 53 Lakhs (ex-showroom) for top specs variant (Performance variant) The BYD Seal middle specs variant (Premium Variant) will cost Rs 45.55 Lakhs (ex-showroom).

In the Indian market BYD Seal will compete with the likes Hyundai Ioniq 5, a futuristic electric crossover, the BMW i4, a luxury electric sedan, and the Kia EV6, a striking design and advanced safety feature.
BYD Seal Booking is going on
